Important Security Notice

To all Hotelsinone Customers,

We are writing to make you aware of a recent cybersecurity and personal data incident affecting Hotelsinone, which owns and manages a number of hotel booking platforms for companies across Ireland, including Lidl Breaks, Three, Go Breaks, Red FM Breaks, Bargain Breaks, Staycations NI and Irish Mini Breaks amongst others.

We have been made aware that a customer received a scam message from a WhatsApp business account named “Jubilee Honeybee Company LLC” appearing to relate to their booking.

The message included the customer’s name, reservation details, hotel name and dates of stay, and asked them to follow a link and provide further information. As a reminder, Hotelsinone sites will never ask for passwords or full payment card details by email, text or phone.

This is a scam communication which we are currently investigating and treating as our utmost priority. As a precaution, Hotelsinone have taken immediate precautionary steps to contain the incident, secure our systems, and protect customer data including temporarily suspending the Hotelsinone services.

We have also engaged external cybersecurity experts and informed relevant authorities, including the Irish Data Protection Commission, in full accordance with our regulatory obligations.

We are contacting all customers potentially affected by this issue as a priority. Please be assured that we are working hard to resolve this issue whilst our investigation is ongoing. We can confirm that no Hotelsinone site stores or processes any debit or credit card information. All payments are processed by Stripe, ensuring the security of your card details.

Data potentially at risk includes personal information entered by the customer at the time of booking which may include some or all of the following: name, address, telephone number and reservation details.

As a precaution, if you receive a WhatsApp message asking you to provide payment or credit card details in connection with your booking, please:

  • Do not respond to the message
  • Do not select or use any link contained in the message
  • Do not provide any payment or credit card information

Please note that your booking is confirmed and there is no need for any action. However, should you wish to cancel your booking, and obtain a full refund, please contact hello@hotelsinone.com.

We are continuing to investigate the source and extent of the incident, monitor our systems closely and assess the matter in accordance with our data protection obligations.

Protecting our customers and their information is extremely important to us. We will provide further information if our investigation identifies anything that you need to know or any additional action you should take.

As a precaution, please be vigilant with regards to any unusual communications you may receive by phone or email. If you have any concerns, please contact us on hello@hotelsinone.com.

We apologise for any concern or inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
